Zygote’s Working Archive is a multi-decade commitment to record the history of Northeast Ohio print activity. The collection includes an estimated 4,000 prints by past and present members, as well as artist renters and visiting exchange artists.
Highlights include prints from the long-running Dresden Exchange (along with Zygote’s other residencies), the Reverend Albert Wagner portfolio, and the various artists that have created editions at Zygote. The archive space was renovated in 2013 and were condition-reported, measured, and put into permanent archiving storage.
PEP is a selection of the archive that grew from Zygote’s interest in sharing the collection and getting it out of archive drawers to engage with new audiences at venues across the region.
