Open Studio
Open Studio is an open access, weekly offering for artists to work on their own projects in Zygote’s shop. Open Studio hours are on Wednesdays (1pm-9pm) and Saturdays (12pm-4pm). Open Studios close for national holidays.
Open Studio Fees + Policies
Price: $20
Supply fee: $10 (if you intend to use shop inks and emulsion)
No more than 10 people can work in the shop at the same time.
The Open Studio Fee covers one 4-hour Open Studio Session.

All members are required to receive a Zygote Studio Orientation from our Shop Manager, Michael Whitehead before attending Open Studio sessions. To schedule your orientation session, please email michael@zygotepress.org.
Open Studio fees are due upon arrival, and open studio is available only to active members. If you are not currently a member but would like to sign up for open studio, you can join online in advance or in-person at Zygote.
During Open Studios, there are printmaking monitors on site to oversee the shop and answer questions. Please note that the Open Studio is not a class, it is a session designed for artists working independently on small projects.
If you need more time than is provided in Open Studio, please consider becoming an artist renter, which provides 24-hour access to the shop.
